What is Hospice?

Hospice care is a service that is offered at the patient’s place of residence and provides the patient with comfort and support during a diagnosed terminal illness. This is done by enhancing the quality of life by relieving pain, providing symptom management, and making the patient as physically comfortable for the duration of services. Hospice services are covered by the patient’s insurance provider.
